Impulse of a Force:

The product of the force & the time for which it acts on a body is called impulse of a force. It is calculated by multiplying the force by the time interval over which it acts.

Impulsive Force:

The force acting on a body for short interval of time is called impulsive force. It is called impulsive because it transfers a definite linear momentum to the body it is working on.
